Pierre Chouteau Jr. & Company was a St. Louis, Missouri, based fur trading company with operations on the Upper Missouri River, including the area that later became Montana. Records consist of an order of attachment (1844) on the property of the estate of Joseph Rolette, Crawford County, Wisconsin, for non-performance of a contract. This collection contains a court order of attachment on the property of the estate of Joseph Rolette of Crawford County, Wisconsin. This order was the result of a suit filed by Pierre Chouteau, Jr. and Company against Rolette's estate for non-performance of a contract. (Small Collection 66)
